Number patterns, in motion.
Pisano takes a sequence like Fibonacci, reduces it modulo m, and draws every step as a chord. Color each pixel by how many chords cross it, sweep the starting values, and a two-line formula turns into a living texture: a visual instrument for VJs.
Five presets, one family of formulas
Hover to watch. Every clip was rendered frame by frame with Pisano's own engine. Open any of them live and change it yourself.
Play with it
This runs Pisano's real renderer on your own device's GPU. Nothing is sent anywhere.
The graphics context was reset. Reload the page to play again.
The full app adds up to four decks at once, every sequence family, palettes, zoom and a projector output.
Your browser can't run the live renderer (it needs WebGL 2). The clips above show the same drawings.
Made for the moment the music drops
Math you can see
Any linear recurrence taken modulo m repeats sooner or later. That repeating cycle, the Pisano period, is the drawing. Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell and k-bonacci sequences each have their own.
Live, not rendered
Every frame is computed on your own device, on the GPU. Walks of a million chords stay smooth, and most changes show up in the very next frame.
Four decks, one projector
Run up to four drawings side by side, edit one while another plays, and send them full screen to a second display or projector.
Wherever you play
In the browser, as a Windows app, and on Android. Accounts with presets synced across devices are on the way.

Pisano is in private beta. Tell us a little about what you play and where, and we'll send an invitation.
